The main aim of a route coordinator is to match a truck with cargo optimally, taking into account specific circumstances and requirements.

Route coordinators constantly monitor the information provided to them by transport managers – the position of each truck, when is it due to load/unload cargo, drivers’ rest periods, refuelling times, deviations from initial plans, etc. Route coordinators use the information provided by sales managers to plan itineraries for transporting cargo.

A route coordinator’s main responsibilities are:

  • Monitoring the information sales managers provide on cargo through our commerce system and deciding how to transport it.
  • Monitoring the information provided by sales managers that concerns driver availability and truck capacity. Taking all of it into consideration when planning routes.
  • Quickly responding to changes in plans and solving any problems.
  • Arranging transport for carrying cargo.
